Move over Twitter…

July 16, 2009

It all started with Twitter. I love the idea of microblogging. It's a beautiful thing. Twitter makes it easy to post your thoughts and ideas about just about anything in 140 characters or less. Other folks can follow along and read what you have to say.

That's why I love Twitter, but that's also why I don't like it.

You see, it's a great idea, but unfortunately it often ends up that I'm following all of these folks who are posting about what they had for breakfast, or tweet that they're giving their dog a bath, or other ridiculous stuff that I have absolutely no interest in.

Then there are the spammers. Oh my goodness! 100 tweets in a row advertising trash I'm not interested in.

Even when folks aren't spamming, Twitter seriously lacks focus. From one tweet to the next, the sheer volume of subjects is dizzying — and it's rarely related.

That's why I created TipDrop.com. TipDrop is what I call a "social-knowledge" site. Simply put, it's a very focused form of microblogging site.

At TipDrop, a user creates a "tip sheet" focused on a particular subject. The user who created the tip sheet, and other TipDrop users, can post tips to the tip sheet. The users can also vote for or against the tips on the tip sheet. Since 140 characters really isn't enough for a good tip, your tips can be up to 255 characters long.

It's like Twitter meets Wikipedia meets Digg.

For example, let's say I created tip sheet on How to get people to link to your web page (which I have–that link points to it). You can go to that tip sheet to read all of the tips that I and other users have added to get ideas about how to build links to your site. If you like a tip, you vote it up — if you don't like it, you vote it down.

You see the power here? Instead of random bits of noise and nonsense, TipDrop creates tightly focused pages of practical knowledge. It's social-knowledge.

To make it even better, TipDrop is driven by what I'm calling a "credibility engine." Everything in the system is given a "credibility" score: users, tip sheets and tips. The more users vote for a tip, the higher the credibility of the tip, the tip sheet and the tip-writing user. The more users that vote against the tip, the lower the credibility of those three things.

The best (read: most credible) tips appear on top of the tip sheet. Once a tip falls below a credibility score of 1, it disappears off the list.

The more credibility a user gains, the higher up the list his tips appear when he first writes them. Of course, those tips are then subject to users voting them up or down. Also, the higher a user's credibility, the more power his votes up or down command.

What this does is encourage high-quality tips from users who are trying to establish themselves as experts in their field. Each tip is linked back to its author's own account page, where a timeline of the user's tips appear, as well as a list of the user's tip sheets.

The credibility engine also helps prevent spam and junk from coming into the system. Spammers' tips will quickly get voted down, reducing the credibility of not only the tips, but the spammer's account. That way, when they try to submit more spam, their spammy tips will have virtually no credibility, appear at the bottom of the tip sheet, and after just a vote or two disappear entirely.

Of course, the creator of a tip sheet has the ability to delete tips they feel are inappropriate. So the tip sheet owner maintains control that way as well.

Unlike Twitter, TipDrop also encourages you to have links on your account page. You can have up to 10 links appear on the right sidebar of your account pages. And since all of the tip sheets you create appear with your account profile and links on them, you are rewarded for making your tip sheets popular by having other people visit your links.

On top of that, the site is monetized with AdSense ads. In your user settings you can put your AdSense Publisher ID and have 75% of all ad impressions and clicks from your account pages and tip sheets credited to your own AdSense account. I believe that users should receive a monetary incentive to create great content, and that's just another way I make that happen for TipDrop.com users.

TipDrop is a great way to get your email list to build link-bait lists of information on just about anything. Think about it: create a tip sheet on the best ways to lose 10 lbs, have other users add their own tips, and monetize it from the AdSense ads plus links down the sidebar to weight-loss products you promote! Build your credibility up with enough great tips and you'll soon be an established authority in your niche.

The site is now in beta, and I encourage you to go take 30 seconds to sign up for a free account (that's really all it takes — it's super-fast and easy). Perhaps start by adding your own tips to my tip sheet on how to get people to link to your web page?

Check the Site Links down the right sidebar of the home page for links to the TipDrop blog and forum as well. I'm very interested in hearing your suggestions and thoughts on how to make the system better.

Click here to go to TipDrop.com now.

And be sure to post your thoughts and questions in a comment below.

I totally agree with you John on Twitter spammers throwing you trash ads. Nice new site - Who gave you that tip? Lol.

    Kudos to you!

Hi Jon, this is a no brainer for me. If you say so then as far as I am concerned it "is". All of your tips have been good for me and I cannot see why this one would be any different. Great idea and you can count me in. Cheers - TerryG

Hey Jonathan, very interesting site. I'll give it a try later this weekend and get a better idea of the inner workings. Can't wait to see it grow!

  9. TH on July 17th, 2009 12:07 am

Any reason you went for "_" instead of "-" in your URLs John?

Nice idea for a site, hope it catches on

  10. Becka on July 17th, 2009 12:12 am

I see the potential, but I can't use it. The font is too small to read; I suggest changing "9pt" to a percentage instead so everyone can read it. I like the idea in theory, but have given up on sites with text with little/no contrast, and/or text too small to read.

Otherwise, I hope it catches on! I like the idea, and moreover, it's monetizable (yay for you!).

Interesting concept and name Jon, will be checking it out ;-)

  14. Gloria on July 17th, 2009 12:43 am

Hello great idea i just checked it out also and will get on tomm soon as i can come up with a tip..Oh also its new its fresh and how do you plan to keep these SPAMMERS out of the place you are right twitter is like tweets of products you dont want. and people using auto tweeter to tweet like every 4 mins backing up my homepage . Im already wearing down on it. I think i will love this Tipdrop

  15. Barbara on July 17th, 2009 12:43 am

This looks very interesting Jonathan. I don't really like twitter because as you said most posts are total crap.

    I have couple of questions.
First of all can you add category "Home Business" for us people who are in network marketing.

Also, can we have an option that your tip sheet is in two categories. For example I run a network marketing business so I can post in the "Business" category but my products are nutritional supplements so that is in "Health" category.

Or do you suggest that we create a few very narow-targeted tip sheets, say in my case one on "how to choose a vitamin" and another one on "how to select great MLM business" and still another one on some other topic in my area of interest.

    Looking forward to your feedback.

    Barbara from Australia

  16. Get Rid of Warts on July 17th, 2009 12:43 am

This sounds like a very good idea Jon.

It is nice to know that you are able to put something like this into operation. Lots of people have good ideas, but very few are able to actually put their ideas into operation, because they don't have your programming skills.

    Thanks,

    Barry

  17. Jonathan Leger on July 17th, 2009 12:47 am

    Barbara:

I would create fairly narrow tip sheets, separating the health-related tips from the business-related tips.

    Barry:

My hope is that the voting system and credibility system will keep the spammers at bay. Especially as the site grows in popularity and power-users gain credibility, it will be easy to vote down spam tips and spam users so they have no power in the system.

  18. Barbara on July 17th, 2009 12:54 am

    Thanks. That was quick reply.
I suppose with adsense tip sheets need to be very topic focused.
    I'm in.

Obviously the succes of this venture relies on lots of people using it.

One more thing. Did you think about designing a tip sheet widget that we could embed in our blog or website?

I can see your tip sheet "How to get people to link to your web page" is already indexed by Google. Can see great potential to get traffic for long tail kewords.

I too hope that it catches on.

Can you add a way to track stats on tip loads?

  23. Pramodh on July 17th, 2009 1:30 am

I signed up and started using it. It's a good concept and your concept of Social Knowledge is very pertinent today. One aspect that I liked about TipDrop and even you is that you think through the whole concept very thoroughly. Like the incentive system, the encouragement, the links, the adsense, to get the users coming back.

A few things that may be of help would be the related tips that can be showed as well.

We at Injoos have thought through these problems and ahve created a service that has taken all these aspects along with multi-modal communication like micro-blogging (think yammer, twitter), web conference, library / online file storage and editing (box.net), and Social media engine to capture the Knowledge and provide Continuity.

Ofcourse, there were a couple of bugs at TipDrop. I have reported them at askjonleger.com. Hopefully that'll help.

  24. Gunter Eibl from GetArticlesDone.com on July 17th, 2009 1:57 am

Nice idea. Today you need as many tools and other "weapons" you can get to stay competitive. Twitter is definitley something that stays for some time. Time to get on it if you haven't already!

It IS unsatisfactory because it isn't a dialogue (or only rarely)..

I regularly get twits telling me how many thousand followers they have. So what ?

If I reply to one of these people who have '000's of followers I get no reply.

Its like "The sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel"

And in the naked light I saw
    Ten thousand people, maybe more
    People talking without speaking
    People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
    And no one dared
    Disturb the sound of silence

"Fools", said I, "You do not know
    Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you"
But my words, like silent raindrops fell
    And echoed
    In the wells of silence"

  28. Buy Stocks Blog on July 17th, 2009 2:32 am

I've never been able to write anything worthwhile on Twitter in 140 characters including the URL - 140 characters + URL would have been acceptable

I read that Twitter settled on 140 characters as that is the standard for cell phone texting - yours is much more sensible number of characters - should be plenty to create usable information

Also I don't like Twitter because it has been overrun with "automation" - you just know that most of the people following you are not really people - just software generated trash

  29. Daniel on July 17th, 2009 2:35 am

Jon, you're site's just great. Thanks a million! Grabbed an account as soon as I saw this post! This'd be a great tool for everyone, especially those of us interested in IM. Its nice that a social network site has been developed by a person like you with enormous IM experience. It'd surely cater to the needs of a more focused crowd than for those that aimlessly chat all day about mundane things in life.

Hoping for this to catch on like wildfire!

  30. Rolf on July 17th, 2009 2:52 am

    Jonathan,

I think this is a great idea! I have been struggling with Twitter for a good while now without getting anywhere. I have gotten followers and I follow people without any clue what they stand for. I can't make much out of it so far. I don't see much trust building up that way and seldom people respond to dm. So …?

I will follow this with interest and start posting. I saw many interesting categories.

Thank a lot for this application!

    Best wishes

Hi Jon, great idea. a nice marketing incentive and good of you to try and control the spam that now plagues every SBM in town.
Sounds a little like review site on steroids! You'll probably beat ones like viewpoints.com

    good luck to you!

  36. Reinhardt on July 17th, 2009 3:55 am

Jonathan, remove the darn Google Ads from TipDrop.
I'm sure you can find other ways to monetise, but adsense just gives it that cheap factor.

Also, and this is important. Tell your programmer to remove the "categories" below each and every post. The categories are already displayed on the right. Keep it clean and simple.

    Looks great so far!

    Hi Jon

Have you considered using affiliate marketing to promote your new site. We certainly can push it for you. It's a great concept. Does it work well on mobile?

  38. Samantha on July 17th, 2009 4:02 am

This is a truly excellent idea! I, too, get tired of all the irrelevant junk that is on Twitter. I know there are people who claim to be making a gazillion dollars with Twitter, but I don't see how with all the garbage. Your new site takes the best features of Twitter and incentivizes quality. In addition, we can focus just on the subjects we're interested in. I'm sure this site will grow like a week since Google is bound to be all over it.

  39. Stephen Barrett on July 17th, 2009 4:30 am

    Hi Jon
    Greetings from New Zealand :)
This is a great idea. What with the usual 101 things to do I have been slow to do much with MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, etc, only to find by the time I get 'there', as someone else observed, much of what is posted is trivial or crap or both.

I applaud the aggregate vote concept, so that we can vote good stuff in and garbage out.

Now, all I have to do is figure out what I know that is useful for others. Maybe I can help folk with math! I think it's nice just to share information to help the other guy, rather than always having to 'monetize' everything we think or do. Otherwise all conversation is reduced to hustling, albeit with a smile, and I for one don't enjoy having to sift people's motives all the time just to see what they're up to.

    So, all strength to you

    Great idea Jonathan,

This may be a big one, but I see a lot of spam in your future. I signed up and will add some tips. Like always you have great ideas. You have combined some of the best features of Digg, Twitter and even Squidoo.

Twitter, I hate twitter, I follow a few people but the only descriptive word I can think of for it is "Noise" People think they have to share the most ridiculous things.

  42. David on July 17th, 2009 5:25 am

This sounds great Jon. I just told a forum that I am a member of about it… Rich-jerks.com. Of course it's Saturday today, and I know there is not a lot of action there on weekends.

I did this AFTER I signed up at tipdrop.com… lolo

I'm loving this idea Jonathan. I'm off to sign up right now. I love Tweetdeck because you and have different searches going on all at the same time, but I don't like the fact that I am limited to the number of columns I can have.

  44. money24seven on July 17th, 2009 5:39 am

WoW Jonathan - this is brilliant - what a great idea - I've always wanted a reward for sharing my tips online - I've used forums in the past but folks seem to get the hump when you want to share an idea and get the reward through directing members to a link - so now you have come up with this idea it covers all the spam issues and posting issues all on one page - 10/10 from me - thanks for making this free - its worth good money to have one and share one of these credibility sites by adding tips that other people like and vote on.

Thanks Jon, TipDrop is very well thought out. I think your basic idea of getting priority to quality content is the right way to go.

I have the experience that too many of us are wasting all too much time on getting followers on Twitter by having to do repetitious tasks every day - that time could be much better spend on something of lasting value for yourself and for your ‘audience’.

I will do what I can to support and promote TipDrop through my ezines, postings and my websites.
Good luck with TipDrop, Jon, and to all other users.

  47. David on July 17th, 2009 6:38 am

I take that back, it's not Saturday yet! I guess I'm trying to speed the week up. Okay, Friday is good:)

I think this is a good idea Jon. Who knows? It could be the start of something huge. Your use of the two of the basic ideas of wealth creation is heart-warming to say the least:

    1. Improve on something that is already popular and working, but not perfect.

    2. Offer value to people first, without looking for immediate rewards, knowing that the rewards will follow.

I've created an account, and hope to do many more.

    Much success,

This is it! I like TipDrop so much that I immediately created a post in my blog about it.

Just one thing - the site does not allow me to change the title of my tip sheet. My first tip sheet's title is "how to get your computer run faster" but I want to change it to "how to speed up your computer" - can I do this?

If not, TipDrop should at least warn about that before hand. Hope TD gets better!

Hi John, I like the idea of voting for tips and I have my account already But, i love twitter and i think that by using it in a right way anyone can get great results, I'm using Twitter as the first base for my social marketing efforts, i try not to sell nothing on it, just to post my thoughts and small advices - to serve the community, Having Fun and let others to and as a trigger to drive traffic to my other social media accounts, creating a kind of social media circle based on Twitter Power and if you are an interesting individual that circle can and will produce traffic to your blog where you can promote. At my opinion that's the only productive way to use twitter.

Someone above mentioned automated software that never answers. I am really looking forward to seeing if we can make this the wikipedia of twitter.

Somehow I have to learn to cut my verbiage down to a more manageable 255 characters.

Jonathon, my lowly suggestion is that you allow us to link to outside video sources like youtube since most of us will be using PC's to review it anyway.

But I have another reason for suggesting this. I use the iPhone which does not theoretically support flash, yet iPhone supports youtube.

If you allowed youtube linked videos there are 11 million iPhone users and probably an equal number of Android users in the future who would thank you.

    Hey Jon !

You have created another useful resource. Kudos !

Just a thought….if u are sharing ad revenues for tip-sheets created, it can lead to spam creation of tip-sheets. A better idea, not sure though is to share revenues based on the user's page which has both contributions and own creations.

The concept of credibility engine is superbly implemented . How about a personal reputation score ;-) ?

    Best ;-)

It would be awesome if clicking on the profile pictures on the home page would go to the "my page" associate with the picture.

  70. Crystal Coleman on July 17th, 2009 11:12 am

This is very intriguing, I'm signing up now and checking it all out!

  71. Scott Brooks - How to Write an Ebook on July 17th, 2009 11:43 am

Nice, clean layout and incredible concept. I wish I would have thought of this!

  72. Joan Hughes on July 17th, 2009 11:53 am

    Great idea, Jonathan.

    I just created an account.

I rarely visit Twitter because of all the useless information that is posted.

Not only that, some people post every 10 minutes!

    Thanks for creating TipDrop.

    All the best,
    Joan

  73. Joan Hughes on July 17th, 2009 11:55 am

    p.s.

I don't put Adsense ads on my sites because I have researched some of the ads and some are spam.

This is not acceptable to me.

  74. Tex on July 17th, 2009 12:00 pm

TipDrop is exactly what i would use twitter for, if it wasn't what it is today :)

I am not into tweeting about mundane daily activities. And I really don't want to read about others doing the same

But to use that platform to share useful information, discover useful information and establish relationships with others focused on the same thing?

    Just what I have wanted.

Question~do you want us to tell our twitter followers about TipDrop (I assume you do:)

    Tex

  76. Theresa Mayhew on July 17th, 2009 1:01 pm

    Hi Jonathan,
I love it! This is a very intelligent alternative to Twitter. I think it will catch on like wildfire! I've been participating already and like what I see.

    All the best,
    Theresa

  77. Rod Macbeth on July 17th, 2009 1:06 pm

What an awesome idea. Twitters biggest failing is just as you describe, everything flows by so quick it's almost unusable. Will be signing up and spreading the word.

  78. egg white on July 17th, 2009 1:10 pm

Best idea I have heard for a long long time. It amazes me your creativity Jon I've pretty much given up on the next big thing but this could and should be bigger than Twitter.

  79. John The Geek on July 17th, 2009 1:10 pm

Great idea, John. I agree completely about Twitter content (or lack thereof). I've signed up for TipDrop and plan to use it regularly.

  80. Matt Longley on July 17th, 2009 1:38 pm

Sounds like a really great idea. I will sign up and check it out!

  81. Steve on July 17th, 2009 3:01 pm

Sounds like a really great ideal. 255 characters for a tip could still be a little short but if I can paste a link to a squidoo page, then I would be set.

  82. Lissa on July 17th, 2009 5:41 pm

This is a great idea. However, I don't see a category for Personal Development. I wonder why?

  83. Susanne on July 17th, 2009 5:49 pm

Jon, you always amaze me with your ideas!

THIS IS GENIUS!!!!! - Uhm YOU are a genius!

I think TipDrop is going to become the next big social media site. Well done!

  84. Lyndon Victor Irvine on July 17th, 2009 6:04 pm

This is awesome. You're so right. Twitter is becoming ridiculous as i found myself removing cam girls from my profile. Looking forward to checking this out. gonna head over there and sign up now. Thanks again.

    Hi Jon

I set up an a/c yesterday, and today I get this message:

Seems like an inspired idea, and I've already signed up and will take it for a dest drive.

  87. T1 Line on July 17th, 2009 10:53 pm

Great idea Jon. Finally a social site for marketing, where you can actually learn something.

  88. Dan Walter on July 18th, 2009 1:45 am

Jon, you're always thinking! I've been slow to get on the Twitter bandwagon for all the reasons you've stated. I just don't know what to do with Twitter. But I think you may have a big winner in this one! I'm in.

  89. emo on July 18th, 2009 6:29 am

Hi Jon, brilliant idea … I just sign up.

  90. WriteResearc h on July 18th, 2009 8:14 am

A really great idea. I've signed up, and am looking forward to the tips and conversations that will take place on that site.

  91. John on July 18th, 2009 8:59 am

What happens when you get people that vote down your tips when they are perfectly good tips and not spam? I think that there should be a report button instead of a vote button. this way your staff could review the spam or what ever it is that doesn't pertain to a tip. I think the report button is going to give people the opportunity to abuse it.

  92. Ralph Morton on July 18th, 2009 9:13 am

It is time someone criticized twitter, to keep up with the messages does take a lot of time.

I like the idea of just putting out our thoughts for a while. This will work great, thanks for your efforts.

    Ralph

  93. Jonathan Leger on July 18th, 2009 11:58 am

    John:

The TipDrop community will determine what's good and what's bad, not me. If your tip is truly useful, then others will vote it up even if some vote it down. If it's not truly useful to the community, then folks will vote it down.

  94. Ryan on July 18th, 2009 2:39 pm

Just curious as to when you actually started that website?

  95. TAylor on July 18th, 2009 2:44 pm

    So, in essence, Yahoo Questions?

  96. Buxykay's Stuff on July 18th, 2009 3:24 pm

Jon, this is great. I will join right away. You've done it again and thanks for bringing all those wonderful and useful tips to us.

  97. Dan Walter on July 18th, 2009 7:16 pm

I've noticed the RSS feed produced is creating duplications of each tip. Why?

  98. How To Be Funny on July 18th, 2009 11:36 pm

While TipDrop does have that topic-focus approach, it does not have that viral feature that Twitter has.

There is no followers or following system here which would really bring on lots of followers immediately if you have posted a fantastic tip. Jon, if you could implement that here…

The RSS page could also be improved by making the links live and the formating easier to read. I noticed that TD did not have RSS when you first started. So that's a good addition.

  99. Dollar Dude on July 19th, 2009 2:11 am

Wow… What an idea! Hope this will definitely become more popular among bloggers. I have already joined and started tipping in tipdrop.com

  100. Fabrizio Mosca on July 19th, 2009 4:42 am

But the concept are the same of Yahoo Answer or not ?

  101. Face Care Tips on July 19th, 2009 10:29 am

Man, you really do produce these new things fast. This is an excellent idea. I've been having the same problem as you with twitter, I've just started following less and less people and that has helped to some degree.

  102. liv on July 19th, 2009 2:43 pm

I'm just waiting for the day someone invents a twitter that uses only one word….

  103. Personal Development Network on July 19th, 2009 11:11 pm

    Jon,
this was the "results-oriented socially-driven site" you were working on secretly… :)

Great idea and implementation (as usual) Jon !

  105. Business Tips on July 20th, 2009 6:02 pm

Here's a tip for you Jonathan. Make that Tipdrop.com image at the top of this post clickable - make every picture clickable.

I just don't know where and how you continue to come up with these ideas - and then get them rolling…

  106. Kathy on July 21st, 2009 2:15 am

I emailed everybody about 'Tip Drop It' and I hope this works for you Jon.

  107. gryfino on July 21st, 2009 6:54 am

Don't You think that Twitter in some way is killing the whole idea of blogging? It's an open question for me, because someone can say yes and someone could answer no. But let's think about it for a while… Blog is something personal and serve a purpose that for everyone could be different. And a blog is a place created by someone to share his thoughts with other people And Twitter? It's just McDonald-kinda fastblog machine to produce short posts without any soul inside. What do You think?

  108. Cash Back Credit Cards on July 22nd, 2009 7:21 pm

Great idea for a website Jonathan. I do think you might need subcategories, especially as the site takes off as I'm sure it will. Good luck with that venture!

  109. Business Cards on July 23rd, 2009 5:02 am

You seem to be reading day and night looking for good stuff to post lol

  115. Breaking News on July 29th, 2009 6:36 pm

I just came across your blog. Really you did a good job. I am facing the same problem with the twitter. Good idea and implementation.

  116. Andy - Weight Loss Guy on July 31st, 2009 6:05 am

This is a great idea and I like the look of the site. I think it will be a great way for us to get more reader interaction on our sites by showing a prominent link to our Tip Sheet, a button or via a widget.

  117. Rancho Santa Fe Real Estate on August 1st, 2009 6:06 pm

I too think that this is a good idea. I'll subscribe to TipDrop. The spam on Twitter has become its biggest problem. I think it was originally supposed to be a place to share news and interesting things. But hearing what someone had for breakfast is not interesting, and the spam tweets have polluted Twitter. I have a hard time following it anymore.

  118. Accident Benefits Claims on August 2nd, 2009 8:06 am

Today you need as many tools and other "weapons" you can get to stay competitive. Twitter is definitley something that stays for some time.

  119. Natural Hair Loss Products on August 10th, 2009 10:08 pm

What a great site. There is certainly great potential to help my marketing efforts.

  120. Sahil on August 11th, 2009 2:15 pm

How will you control copied content?

When the site gets popular, people will start making their sheet and starting writing tips by coy pasting from other sites.

    How will you control that?

Further people will keep posting lots of spam links.

  121. Jonathan Leger on August 11th, 2009 2:20 pm

    Sahil:

I can't control copied content — neither can or does Twitter, Digg or any of the other social networking sites. I can only remove copyrighted content when informed of the fact.

As to spam, you can't post links at all unless you reach a certain level of credibility — so spammers have no incentive to even be there. Also, once your credibility drops below a certain level, all of your tip sheets and links are marked noindex/nofollow, and they don't show up in the category listings or on the home page.

So spammers get no joy from TipDrop (unlike other sites which are chock full of spam).

  122. Dan Walter on August 12th, 2009 7:12 am

I noticed the actual character count accepted isn't 255 but rather 253.

  123. custom logo design on August 12th, 2009 8:50 am

you are rite spammers are doing great by using twitter.

  124. Follow Up Autoresponder on August 13th, 2009 6:09 am

I always like your posting. TipDrop is a great for us to build more one way links.

  125. local ads on August 14th, 2009 8:20 pm

I think it's a great idea. You're absolutely right about Twitter, it seems like all the posts are worthless goings on or spam.

  126. Ralph on August 15th, 2009 8:47 pm

It sounds a lot better than Twitter. I use Twitter but only because it is necessary and not because it is actually entertaining or relevant. Definitely worth a try.

  127. Auto Transport on August 16th, 2009 8:00 pm

I use both Twitter and Tip drop and definitely find tip drop way more useful

  131. aniroy1986 on October 18th, 2009 12:31 am

I think I will give it a try as I like to try different things. But popularity is something that we can't ignore. All our fellows are in Twitter. And to keep in touch with them, we need to keep on tweeting :)
By the way, have you used Yahoo Meme? What is your thoughts about it?

  132. psp zubehör on December 9th, 2009 2:24 am
