Using videos as an affiliate marketing tool.

My previous case study showed that I could drive traffic to my content sites very easily using the methods outlined in my new Video Traffic Power package, but I wanted to know if I could use videos to directly sell affiliate products as well.
To test this idea, I just grabbed a big market out of the air (insurance) and did a search on Google for insurance affiliate programs. I came across a site that sold auto insurance and had an affiliate program for that, so I signed up.
Then I had to decide what kind of video I would create that was at least somewhat related to auto insurance. I created an eye catching short video (only about a minute and a half), and on the end of the video put a call to action to get people to go to a domain of mine that did nothing other than redirect the visitor to the affiliate site.
Two days (and about 7,000 views of the video) later, I had already made two sales.
That was a real eye-opener for me! If I could make two sales in two days from one video, what were the possibilities if I created dozens of short videos like that and distributed them? Creating the video was easy, and only took about 30 minutes.
So now I've created a second video, and will be creating more going forward. As the results come in, I'll post them here.
